Tomato "Bronzy"
Tomato "Bronzy".
Very tasty and sweet fruits in beautiful trusses!
An early-ripening, highly productive, indeterminate cocktail tomato variety for connoisseurs of exquisite taste.
The plant is indeterminate, which means continuous growth and prolonged fruiting throughout the season, requiring staking and training.
Key characteristics:
Fruits: small, weighing about 12 g, possess exceptional sweetness, juiciness, and a rich, balanced flavour with a slight acidity.
A characteristic feature of this variety is the bronze blush on the skin, which indicates an optimal balance of sugar and acid. The fruits are perfect for fresh consumption, whole-fruit canning, and garnishing dishes.
Plant: tall-growing, reaching 200–250 cm in height. Thanks to its open habit (growth type), it ensures good air circulation and light exposure to the trusses, which promotes better ripening and simplifies harvesting.
Resistance: the variety shows good disease resistance, specifically possessing intermediate resistance to powdery mildew (Oidium lycopersicum).
Growing conditions: ideally suited for cultivation in polyethylene and glass greenhouses. Due to its compact fruits and manageable growth, it has also proven excellent for growing in large containers on balconies, loggias, and terraces, provided there is sufficient sunlight and mandatory support.
Care recommendations: requires regular removal of side shoots (suckering), staking, and balanced nutrition. Recommended planting scheme: 90x40-50 cm.
